As we wrap up 2024, we’re filled with gratitude for our clients, colleagues, and community who make our work so rewarding. This past quarter has been nothing short of eventful, from client appreciation events to personal milestones and planning for an exciting year ahead. Here’s a glimpse of what we’ve been up to:
Celebrating Our Clients
On October 13th, we hosted a special Client Appreciation Event, offering family photo sessions to capture memories with loved ones. It was a heartwarming day, and even our Associate Wealth Advisor, Zach Vande Weerd, managed to get a photo with his wife, Hannah, and their adorable dog, Chief.
Later in the month, on October 29th, we partnered with Alecia Barnette, Senior Vice President of Sales, for a Long-Term Care Seminar. It was an engaging session that highlighted strategies to prepare for the future and protect what matters most.
In December, we held another festive Client Appreciation Event: our Christmas Open House on December 3rd. Guests enjoyed an evening of holiday cheer, complete with a live pianist, delicious cocktails and food, beautiful seasonal décor, and wonderful conversations. These events are a small way for us to say thank you for your trust and partnership throughout the year.
Building Relationships and Honoring Community
Community is at the heart of everything we do, and this quarter was filled with meaningful connections. Sam Vande Weerd, Managing Partner, Wealth Advisor, and Zach, along with their wives Jill and Hannah, had the chance to attend a Minnesota Vikings game with our valued COI, Premier Bank, who partners with us for their financial advising services.
We also had the privilege of sponsoring a retirement celebration for Jay McKinstrey, a long-time friend of Sam, Zach’s former football coach, and a beloved leader in our community. The open house honored Jay’s incredible career as Head Football Coach at Pella High School, complete with his favorite treat—a classic chocolate malt.
Professional Milestones
Congratulations are in order for Zach, who obtained his CFP® certification on November 7th! While he’s still gaining the work experience required to officially use the marks, we’re proud of his hard work and dedication to advancing his experience to better serve our clients.
Looking Ahead to 2025
On November 12th, our team gathered in Omaha at Carson Group for our annual planning day. We reflected on this past year, discussed our goals for 2025, and brainstormed how to continue delivering exceptional service. Of course, no trip to Omaha is complete without a team dinner to celebrate our shared vision and camaraderie.
Family and Holiday Fun
As the holiday season unfolded, everyone in the office enjoyed time with their families and some much-needed time off. These moments of joy and connection remind us why we’re so passionate about helping others protect and build their own legacies.
As we move into 2025, we’re excited for what’s ahead and grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside you on your financial journey. Thank you for being part of our extended family—here’s to a bright and prosperous new year!
