It’s been an exciting Q2 for us at Carson Wealth Pella, and we have plenty of exciting news to share, starting with a new face in the office.
Meet Summer Intern Cole Hillman
Cole is our summer intern at Carson Wealth Pella, serving as a Client Services Intern. Cole is a student-athlete at Bethel University in Minneapolis, and as a Finance major, he brings a wealth of knowledge and determination to his role.
Originally from Pella, Cole graduated from Pella High School and is on track to graduate from college in December 2025. He’s been recognized for his academic excellence with several scholarships and honors, including the Royal Merits Scholarship and a spot on the Dean’s List at Bethel University for the 2024 academic year.
As a member of Bethel’s baseball team, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and teamwork, and he brings those traits to the office every day. In Cole’s role as Client Services Intern, he has been gaining valuable experience in client relations, helping with client accounts and gaining financial experience that he hopes to continue to use in the future.
Passionate about finance, Cole aspires to become a financial advisor after graduation, which is why we are happy to have him on our team and help him gain more knowledge and experience.
Outside of his professional and academic life, Cole enjoys spending time with family and friends, working out, golfing, going to the lake and pool days, which help him stay balanced and motivated.
We are so happy to have Cole be a part of our team this summer!
Thursday Nights in Pella
Sam Vande Weerd CRPC® Managing Partner, Wealth Advisor, Zach Vande Weerd CPA, Associate Wealth Advisor and Cole Hillman partook in the Thursday Nights in Pella event, where we interacted with the community and gave out a $50 gift card to local favorite Liberty Street Kitchen.
We also made a $100 donation to Pella Community Schools as part of a drawing we did at discretion of the winner, and gave away a piggy bank to the drawing winner for the kids.
Pella Team in Omaha
Sam and Tricia De Haan, Relationship Manager, attended Partner Summit at Carson HQ in Omaha, and Sam also partook in a panel about how to leverage the Advanced Solutions team.
Welcome Back, Amy!
Amy Fouch, Client Service Manager, had her new baby and returned to work on July 1. Amy’s baby is happy and healthy, and we are glad to have her back!
Celebrating Tulip Time
We enjoyed volunteering and welcoming thousands of people into our small Dutch town to celebrate our Dutch heritage.
