Jon C. Mommaerts

Jon has been in the financial planning field for more than 33 years. Jon is a Class of ’91 graduate of Northern Michigan University, with a bachelor’s degree in Finance. He also studied at George Washington University and the American College, where he completed the Financial Planning Curriculum.

Jon has owned several businesses through the years, including a building supply company, hotel/restaurant, and commercial real estate. Jon is currently on the board of Norway Springs, Inc. and Berkshire Springs Holdings Company, LLC.

Jon has been actively involved in the local community and has served on a number of non-profit boards, including the Marquette Symphony Orchestra, Superiorland Ski Club, US National Ski Hall of Fame, and the Lake Superior Community Partnership. He is also the co-founder of the Noquemanon Ski Marathon, one of the nation’s premier Nordic skiing events, as well as co-founder of the Noquemanon Trail Network.

Jon also was appointed by the Governor and served a three-year term on the Michigan Ski Area Safety Board. Jon has been involved in two coaching search committees for Northern Michigan University and was recognized with their Alumni Service Award in 2019.
