Meet Kimberly
Kimberly has been a financial planner for over 25 years and chose this profession because she wanted to serve others and contribute to their lives in a meaningful way. Blessed with a penchant for financial matters, it was only natural that she chose finance as her profession. Kimberly’s unique ability is to look beyond the numbers, understand the human emotion, and synthesize financial strategies in a way that makes a real and positive impact on the well-being of her clients.
The common thread throughout her life has been developing strong, working relationships with people. Starting at an early age, she was exposed to hard work and ethics as the child of a Navy father and a mother who was an executive of an international construction company. Constantly moving and meeting new people became the norm, and she developed a genuine interest in understanding other people’s needs, adapting to new situations, and being part of a community where listening and caring were at the forefront.
A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Kimberly also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Christopher Newport University. In 2010, she obtained a Master of Science degree in taxation from Suffolk University so she could expand her work around tax planning. She advocates that financial decisions should not be made in a vacuum, and that every tiny decision we make about money has a tax affect that needs to be addressed.
Over the years, Kimberly has worked with a broad range of clients in the areas of estate planning, business exit strategies, insurance, retirement, budgeting, education and investment planning. Kimberly is a great problem-solver and loves to collaborate with her clients on their finances. She believes that clients can make the right decisions about their money, but it’s her job to sort through the complexity and empower them with a unique perspective and the knowledge to make those decisions. Kimberly has also led teams of financial planners, as she feels it is her duty to pass along her knowledge and experience to the next generation of planners.
When Kimberly isn’t at work, you can usually find her laughing, crushing a workout at CrossFit, spending summers on the boat in Castine, Maine or traveling the world to play the top 100 golf courses. She has also been a Big Sister to Leah for over 20 years. Kimberly is married and lives in the Boston area.
